Paul, an apostle not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christa and God the Father who raised him from the dead, 2 and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia:3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and {the}b Lord Jesus Christ, 4 who gave himself for our sins, so that he might deliver us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5 to whom is the glory forever and ever,c amen.
I am astonished that you are so quickly turning away from the one who called you in the grace [of Christ] to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; except there are some who are troubling you and wanting to distort the gospel of Christ.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach [to you]d a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let them be under a curse. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again: if anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let them be under a curse.
For am I now seeking the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? [[For]]e if I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
For I make known to you, brothers, the gospel that was preached by me, that it is not according to man; 12 for I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it; 14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries in my nation, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
But when it pleased [God,]f the one who set me apart from my mother's womb and called me through his grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me so that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood, 17 Nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away to Arabia and again returned to Damascus.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit {Cephas}g and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother. 20 What I am writing to you, behold, before God, I am not lying.
